Mark Meechan proclaimed that he had joined UKIP along with his fellow YouTubers on 16 June 2018. Later in April 2019, he announced that he intended to stand as a Member of the European Parliament as a representative of UKIP in the European Parliament election in the United Kingdom 2019. He was selected at the fourth on UKIP’s list but UKIP won only 1.8% of the vote but was not elected. In November 2019, he posted a video declaring that he had left UKIP due to some disputes within the party. Then on 25 July 2020, he joined the Scottish Libertarian Party.
On 10 April 2021, he announced on Twitter that he has joined Scottish Libertarian Party and is standing in the 2021 Scottish Parliament election.
